Privacy Policy

A Privacy Policy states how a business will deal with personal information collects. The Privacy Act 1988 was amended 12th March 2014, and the law is serious about ensuring that any business which collects personal information on a website or elsewhere have a privacy statement.

Google has also hinted that it looks for this page and lack of one will have a negative impact on the way they rank your site.

Your clients are rightly concerned to protect their privacy and confidentiality, all users of your services wish to know that their data will not be used for any purpose not intended by them, and will not accidentally fall into the hands of a third party. A policy should both specific and strict.

This is the privacy policy of eEasy.com.au, a web development business run by Ben Walsh, of Queensland, Australia.  It complies with Australian laws and with the laws of all jurisdictions of which we are aware.

Except as set out below, we do not disclose to a third party any of your personally identifiable information.

We ensure suitable procedures to safeguard and secure your information.

Here is a list of the information we collect from you, either through our web site or because you give it to us in some other way, and why it is necessary to collect it:

Web Forms

Basic identification and contact information, such as your name and contact details are used to provide you with the services which you request. We do not use it for any other purpose.

Website usage information

We do use software embedded in our website (javaScript by google analytics, and server-side stats) to collect information about which pages you view and how you reach them, what you do when you visit a page, the length of time you remain on the page. We use this to monitor our site and how it performs in providing content to you.  We do not associate such information with an identifiable person.

Business and personal information

This includes all information given to us in the course of your business and ours, such as information you give us as your web developer. We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of this often highly sensitive information.

Content you provide to us for publication

If you provide information to us with a view to it being read, copied, downloaded or used by other people, we accept no responsibility for what that third party may do with it. It is up to you to satisfy yourself about the privacy level of the information we publish on your website. If it is available to the entire World, you have no control whatsoever as to how it is used.

Disclosure to Government

Disclosure to Government and their agencies. We are subject to the law like everyone else. We may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order.

At any time you may review or update

At any time you may remove or update the personally identifiable information that we hold about you by contacting us. To better safeguard your information, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your information.

Sale of your personal information

We do and will not rent, sell or otherwise commercially disclose any of your information under any circumstance without your express permission.

Storage of Information

We only keep information that we may need to support you in the future, and we ensure suitable procedures to safeguard and secure your information.

Removal of your information

If you wish us to remove personally identifiable information from our web site, you may contact us, to better safeguard your information, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your information.
